
Wiktor Korecki (Kamianets-Podilskyi, 1890 - Komorów, 1980) studied at the Nikolai Muraszka Drawing School in Kiev. In 1921 he moved to Warsaw, where he opened his own studio. It burned down during the Warsaw Uprising, and with it many of his works. In 1946 he settled in Komorów, from where he moved to Milanówek. The theme of his paintings were mainly moody landscapes and influenced by the paintings of Józef Chełmoński and Józef Rapacki.
