This view of the old harbour at Newlyn was taken at dusk, just as the sun was fading and the lights at the harbour mouth were lit. At first Harvey’s view appeared to be unpopulated, but just visible at left are two men loafing, as it was called, leaning on the railing at the edge of the cliff and looking out to sea.
