Egbert van Drielst (Groningen, March 12, 1745 – Amsterdam, June 4, 1818) began his study of the painting in a factory in Groningen which produced mainly lacquered objects. He often portrayed nature scenes of the Drenthe, in the north-east of the Netherlands.
