Ava de Lagercrantz (Karlskrona, September 7, 1862 - May 6, 1938) was a Swedish artist based in New York City (1903-1923), Stockholm (1923-1936) and Paris (1936-1938 ). She was a cousin of Sweden's envoy in Washington Herman Lagercrantz and this became a gateway for orders of portraits in oil, pastel and miniature from the diplomatic corps, the opera world, and prominent New Yorkers. Ava de Lagercrantz died unmarried and childless.
